Hello everyone,

This year, I am doing my poem a day a little differently. I am writing a new poem every day, and these blog posts will go more in-depth on the process.

The word from the random word generator was CHIP

Here is the poem:

Strong words in weak mouths still linger
Brain rot from the repetition like a DVR stuck in the rewind.
The memories don't fade like jeans in the laundry.
Wishes and dreams of erasure play
so there won't be a chip in the armor of what strong is.
Impact quivers in mouths looking back through history with a magnifying glass
questioning if the same damage was caused by them.
Sit on the couch feeling sorry and eating a bag of chips
wondering if this feeling ever goes away.

So my captions are incorrect in the video, but that is okay! This was honestly a hard one for me to write, I was struggling a lot with what to write. I question a lot about if I’ve done the things that have hurt me to other people, and what that means moving forward. I think recognizing behavior and doing something different about it.
