Hello everyone,

This year, I am doing my poem a day a little differently. I am writing a new poem every day, and these blog posts will go more in-depth on the process.

The word from the random word generator was CAT

Here is the poem:

People say dogs are man's best friend
and I think cats are women's 
or honestly everyone's best friend or arch nemesis.
Tuxedo showed me how much an animal can change everything. 
I had pets before him, but he was mine
he claimed me as his own.
He was such a pain in the ass, in a way you just had to love.
When I cried, he would meow at me and wipe his face on my tear stained cheeks.
I was allergic to his fur but I would let him snuggle next to me
because the runny nose and red eyes were worth it.
He was dropped off on the steps of my aunt's house 
and I begged to take him home.
Most people say they saved their pets, but he definitely saved me. 

This one is one of my favorites. It’s about my cat Tuxedo. I loved him with my whole being, and he was honestly the best pet a girl could ask for.
