Hello everyone,
This year, I am doing my poem a day a little differently. I am writing a new poem every day, and these blog posts will go more in-depth on the process.
The word from the random word generator was LINE
Here is the poem:
Memories line the walls in photographs and paintings.
It is difficult to see the frames collecting dust.
What used to feel so lively is now dull.
Vibrancy packed away in the attic
in some box covered in cobwebs
waiting for youth to inquire about them, to be opened
and have wrinkled faces turn to youthful smiles
as they look through the past.
Instead of decades gone by, it’s been minutes.
Stories cascade that have never been told before.
All because of curiosity.
I hope you can really feel this one. It’s about how things change over time and how sometimes happiness is harder to find, so you look back to what once was. Youth can reignite the spark, or just being curious and asking questions can. I hope you take a minute to talk to your loved ones and ask them about something, watch their eyes light up as they time-travel, it is one of the most beautiful things to witness.
