Hello everyone,

This year, I am doing my poem a day a little differently. I am writing a new poem every day, and these blog posts will go more in-depth on the process.

The word from the random word generator was AREA

Here is the poem:

Dirty clothes, empty pizza boxes, recyclables fill the floor.
Questioning how much of this is livable and how sustainable the current pattern is.
The habitable areas have greatly decreased
and sleep is the only thing my body wants to do.
It will get cleaned. It always does.
As the guilt takes over my mind
and I wonder how I let it get this bad in the first place.
Take a shower and wash myself clean of it all.
The guilt and the dirt.
Because it didn't just happen in one day to begin with.

This one is a little bit honest. I think we have been there when life got ahead of us, and next thing you know, it looks like you had a tornado storm through your existence.
