Highlight Show of the Past Week

I saw 3 shows last week that were incredible. On Thursday, I saw Dirty Projectors at Public Records. I’ll be honest, it was not one of my favorite shows. I love their older sound and expected to hear that at this show, but that was not the vibe of this show. Then I saw True Jackson, Abbie Roper, Gardenia, and Nostranders at the Sultan Room on Friday. It was Abbie’s single release and birthday show, so I had to go to be a good friend, and it was incredible to hear about all of these new bands. Then yesterday I saw Lora Mouna, Spirit Ghost, and Nectarine Girl at Berlin Under A. A person I’m seeing knew one of the bands and got us in; it was an incredible night, and honestly, these bands are incredible and should be more well-known.
Listen to them here: Dirty Projectors, True Jackson, Abbie Roper, Gardenia, Nostranders, Lora Mouna, Spirit Ghost, and Nectarine Girl.
Answering Your Questions/Talking Time
I need to get back on the career path. It has been hard to balance everything. It’s also been interesting not to do the poem a day anymore. I loved the process and will be taking some of what I’ve learned and using it in my creative life moving forward.
